A Peek Inside the Box: The Sonic X Shadow Generations Art Book

Let’s take a look at one of the other goodies in the Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition.

We’ve talked a lot about the statue component of the Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition here... not so much about the other things inside the box. But clearly there’s some real curiosity about the rest of the set, because one of the most frequent questions we’ve received in the wake of our announcement that we’re redoing the statue has concerned those other components.

The reason we haven’t set much about them is that, well, there hasn’t been much need to! The rest of the Sonic X Shadow Generations CE turned out exactly as intended—excellent quality work all around. At the moment, those components are waiting patiently in the Limited Run warehouse until the retooled statues arrive and the sets can be completed. That’s still a few months out, though! In the meantime, we figured you might enjoy taking a peek inside the box to see what else is in there and how nicely it turned out.

This week, let’s check out the Art Book that comes with the CE. When you open the box, this is actually the first thing you’ll see once you lift the protective interior foam padding. It sits on top of everything else, almost like a sort of tour book to the adventure ahead. Packed with production sketches and concept illustrations on full-color pages contained in a glossy heavyweight squarebound cover, the Art Book might be a little bit spoiler-y... but we promise not to give away too much right here. You know what Sonic looks like, right?

Also contained in the same little protective nook as the Art Book, the Collector’s Edition ships with a Certificate of Authenticity. Accept no substitutes....

Again, all of the advertised components will be included in every Collector’s Edition that ships out once the new statues have been manufactured. Until then, we’ll continue updating you on progress (and showcasing all the other cool stuff in the box).
